Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?1 Corinthians 6:19
The best way to address this text is by letting you examine yourself before God. There is one question to consider. Have you abused your body through any form of immorality? We could go a lot deeper into the topic and examine our sinfulness more. We must measure our growth in grace by the way we view our personal sin. However, I believe this one question is enough for today.
God can remove addictions and other sinful acts and habits from your life. The believer must be seeking true holiness, a life that is pleasing to God. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
